The company has over 80 people working, has recognition as a major player in the mozambican agro-input marker and is consistently called to advise the country’s government on agriculture policy and programs.

In the end of 2015 an ambitous growth plan begun implementation with the transformation of TECAP into a PLC and with the approval of a new governance model more investment friendly and open to the entry of new equity partner in the shareholding structure of the company.

Product/Service We Provide: Tecnologia & Consultoria Agro-pecuária, SA (TECAP) is a private company based in Mozambique, incorporated in 1989 and focused on the provisions of goods and services to agriculture. The company was built during Mozambique’s transition from a centralized planning economy ?inspired by communism since independance in 1975 - to an open market economy. At the time most state owned companies were being closed and a new private sector emerged. Founded by Mr. Antonio Fagilde, Mr. Jos?Luiz and Mr. Jos?A. Laranjeira, they identified the opportunity to provide quality services and farm inputs and equipments to public and private companies interested in developing the country’s agricultures. TECAP mission was to provide services to farmers, to sell and distribute farm inputs (national and imported) and to sell and provide technical assistance to farm equipments from represented brands in Mozambique. In these early years TECAP’s market consisted on very few commercially oriented farmers.
