From 4 to 7 July, the 22nd edition of the Thailand International Dog Show will take place in Halls 5 and 6 of the Impact Exhibition and Convention Centre in Bangkok. In view of the rapidly growing pet market, the organisers expect the show to be bigger and more extensive than ever before. Almost 47 per cent of Thai households own a dog. The number of dogs has risen from 6.6 mio in 2016 to 7.2 mio in 2022, while the Thai pet market is expected to grow at an annual growth rate of 8.4 per cent to 66.7 bn baht (approx. 1.69 bn euros) in 2026. The number of pet shops in the country is estimated at over 4 000.
The Thailand International Dog Show will take place on an exhibition area of over 10 000 square metres. Over 200 international and domestic exhibitors and over 150 000 trade visitors and consumers are expected to attend. The show is supported by the Kennel Association of Thailand (KAT) and the Thai Pet Industry Association (TPIA). A tailor-made business matching programme will also be offered in the accompanying B2B segment.
