The pet store chain Das Futterhaus, which has over 400 stores in Germany and Austria, has opened three new stores in March. These are in Kiel in northern Germany (6 March), Fürstenwalde in Brandenburg (15 March) and Berlin-K?penick (20 March). All the new branches are operated by experienced franchise partners, according to the franchise chain’s central office. One feature common to all three is that no live pets are for sale in the stores.
In Kiel, Stefan Mohr and Michael Thürke have opened their smallest Das Futterhaus store on a retail area of 199 m2. The particular location of the store in Berlin-K?penick, on a 280 m2 retail area in a shopping centre at walking distance for customers, is responsible for its deliberate focus on offering an assortment in which small packs play a predominant role.
Franchise partner Jens Buchholz has opened his third Das Futterhaus store on 400 m2 in a classic speciality store location in Fürstenwalde.
